MAFSI News - MAFSI Members Helping in Times of Need

Coming Together During Challenging Times
What was television news for most of us this past month is a tragic reality for many of our industry colleagues and customers in Southern California. In response to the devastating fires in Los Angeles area, one of our rep firm members, Fischer Group, is stepping up in a big way. Using their test kitchen equipment and culinary expertise, they’re providing hot meals to first responders and displaced families across Southern California. Their 54-foot Mobile Test Kitchen has been transformed into a food truck, serving those impacted by this crisis.
Fischer Group began by feeding out-of-state firefighters and families in temporary housing at The Huntley Hotel in Santa Monica. Now, they’re bringing meals to communities affected by the Eaton Fire in Altadena, firefighting crews, and other areas in need. By partnering with Cal Fire and World Central Kitchen, they’re ensuring meals reach those who need them most.
Here’s How You Can Help:
- Donate Food: Fischer Group needs bulk food donations to prepare meals.
- Volunteer: Help cook or serve meals to support their efforts.
- Monetary Contributions: Checks can be made out to the Fischer Group Relief Fund.

The road to recovery will be long, and Fischer Group is committed to providing meals for the next 5-6 months. The firefighting and cleanup efforts will last for many months to come, as will the need of the families who have lost their homes or are unable to return to their homes. Support their mission to bring comfort and nourishment to these communities. Your help can make a lasting impact for these communities.
