In our interview with Neil Inverso, President and CEO of One Source Reps in Philadelphia, as well as the current MAFSI President, he shares some personal favorites and professional insights. For non-work activities, Neil enjoys yard work and working on his car. His guilty pleasure? 70s music, especially when he’s detailing his car. Want to know more? Read on.

 

  1. What's your favorite non-work activity, and why?

    Yard work and working on my car. Anything that’s mindless, it’s a release. It’s just a way to unwind.

  2. Guilty Pleasure: What can you not live without?  (e.g, Reality TV, specific junk foods, 80’s hair bands, etc.)

    70s music. It’s always playing when I’m detailing my car or doing yard work. It’s just something that makes those moments even more enjoyable.

  3. If you could eat anywhere for your next meal, where would it be and why?

    Ralph’s Italian Restaurant in South Philadelphia. It’s the oldest single-family-owned Italian restaurant in the country, and it’s been run by the same family for over 100 years. I went to school with the current owners, and the chicken parm is unbeatable.

  4. What’s one piece of advice you have for a young person in the industry?

    Work hard and find yourself a good mentor. Hard work and guidance are key to succeeding in this industry.

  5. What is your favorite foodservice trend that you see right now?

    Rapid cook ovens. There are so many different types out there now, each with its own unique characteristics. It’s fascinating to learn about them and recommend the right one for each specific need.

  6. What’s your favorite part of being a MAFSI member?

    The relationships I’ve built over the years. It’s also incredibly rewarding to give back to the industry and mentor younger members, whether they’re part of my firm or other MAFSI members.

  7. Favorite movie?

    The Godfather, without a doubt. Although the series got a bit long, the first one is a masterpiece. For something lighter, I’d pick Animal House – a classic comedy that I can watch over and over again.

As we all know, there’s considerably more to MAFSI members than being a rep or manufacturer, and we want other members to know about it!
