Jon Biegel has worked as a chef, operator, and in sales during his career in the foodservice industry. He enjoys networking and meeting new people through MAFSI and appreciates that MAFSI offers educational opportunities for reps and manufacturers. He tells us why the last concert he attended was the best party ever and more!

1. What's your favorite non-work activity, and why?
   
   Those of you who know me probably know that I travel a ton, so probably spending time with my family. The best time is finally getting back home after traveling for a long week and sitting on the patio having a glass of wine with my wife or spending time watching my kids play sports. Love it.
   
   
   
2. Guilty Pleasure: What can you not live without?
   
   Tequila and Dots candy. Dots is the best candy in the world.
   
   
   
3. What’s one piece of advice you have for a young person in the industry?
   
   I would say network, network, and network. Through my career, I’ve had an opportunity to work in lots of different parts of this industry from being a chef to an operator to now into the sales side. I couldn’t have done any of it without the connections that I’ve made over the years.
   
   
4. What’s your favorite part of being a MAFSI member?
   
   

   Networking with people that have been in the industry, meeting new people, and saying hi to the people that you’ve known for a long time. It's such a great organization when it comes to some of the keynote speakers that they bring in that have value for both reps and manufacturers. There is stuff that touches all the industry.

5. What's the last concert that you've been to?
   
   

    Uh, so it’s been a little while, but I would say Linkin Park, Snoop Dogg, and Korn all together. Crazy, crazy genre mix of people. Best party I’ve ever been to!
